History

In the 70's Dieter Dorn, who lives in the southern part of Germany, suffered from lumbago which was so painful, he could hardly move. He had tried various treatments that didn't give him any relieve, so he decided to see a healer he had heard of, a farmer, whose so called healing miracles he had not taken seriously as he was not a medical practitioner or anything like it.

His experience with this healer though, who worked on him by only applying pressure to his vertebrae with his thumbs, was obviously very impressive. He was  able to move freely and easily again and also could go back  to work again at his sawmill, a physically very hard and straining work.

Asking the old healer how he could learn that sort of treatment he told him that he didnt have to learn it, he just had to do it. A few months later the 80 year old man died and left Dieter Dorn with a "mission".

He was determined to go and help others with this fantastic treatment and started "trialling" on his first patient, his wife. She had been suffering from severe headaches for the last 20 years. The physician had advised her to have surgery, but she considered surgery too risky. So Dieter Dorn started working on her and the result was very satisfying as he could only visualise from memory of his own treatment rather than know what to do on her spine. Within a few hours the headache had diminished and after a few more treatments gone completely.
With this positive experience he dared going on practising on other people from family and neighbourhood and gained more and more confidence the more success he had.

It didnt take long for the word to spread and people from everywhere started to see him for relief from backpain even doctors and orthopaedists  came to get relief of him and eventually also to learn how to apply that treatment. 

Today the Dorn Therapy is a well recognized treatment particulary in Europe.

There are over 1500 certified practitioners in more than 20 countries - among them lots of doctors and leading medical specialists in their fields.
